Checking In!

I chose the title of this post because you can take it as a “oh hey guys” sort of post, or a “checking in to somewhere awesome for our next adventure” post. I’ll clue you in though… we’re home in Pennsylvania and this post is about the former option!

Checking In!

Since returning stateside from our cross Asian adventure, its been go!-go!-go! for many reasons. One, Luke and I hopped right over to Avalon, New Jersey a day after our flight back home to vacay with his family. Two, school is starting up again and this girl has a full, new load of classes to prepare for. Three, Luke and I have been scheming our future plans of living minimally, expending very little money and delving into developing ourselves as artists… and here’s the kicker… possibly moving. Where? We have no idea (yet). Right now we’re dreaming of a zillion and a half options. I’ll get back to you on that one, for sure!

It’s funny. A lot of the time I feel like there are two times for “new year resolutions” in a year for me. One is, of course, on January 1st. And the second starts juuust around now, when the summer is slowly slipping into autumn, and the school year begins anew with an opportunity to adopt a refreshed approach to life.

This summer has been a monumental one for personal growth and self identity. In between our daily ritual of exploring, wandering and finding a good meal in a foreign place, I had time to ask myself the big questions, to dream up big plans and to get in touch with what exactly I love and feel fueled by. I feel like I’m walking into this new season with a deeper understanding of my self, my goals and my needs. I’m so thankful for this time to get to the nitty gritty.

I promise that I’m not trying to keep these realizations as vague and secretive as it sounds right now, but this is a precious time for me to develop these thoughts and dreams into something great. Plus, I don’t want to jump out and say what I’ve been scheming quite yet! Unlike many bloggers, I didn’t start with a purpose to develop this website into a product or business.  I started blogging as a means to share a few recollections of my travels and to keep myself inspired and on my creative toes post-graduation. This little blog of mine has become my happy little corner of the internet. Even better? It’s undeniably shed light on my serious love for writing, photography… and even more so… to inspire others to lead a mindful, adventurous and creative approach to living life. That’s all I’m going to say on the subject right now!

Checking In!

Speaking of fun things (I’m soooo awesome at segues *hair flip*), Luke and I now have a studio space right across from our apartment and I am loving having a workspace that isn’t the couch or the bed. Being home is a tad more bittersweet than before, but man, does it feel nice to have a designated space to get messy in! If you’re interested in following along with what I’m secretly scheming and what’s going on in my day to day, Instagram is where it’s all hiding!
